The MARINet catalog includes the records for all the items owned by the seven public libraries in Marin and by the Archbishop Alemany Library at Dominican University. “Your library card from any one of these libraries is valid at any MARINet library. With certain exceptions, library patrons can borrow items from any MARINet library and return them to any MARINet library.”
"The Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) brings together the riches of America’s libraries, archives, and museums, and makes them freely available... It strives to contain the full breadth of human expression, from the written word, to works of art and culture, to records of America’s heritage, to the efforts and data of science."
The Library of Congress catalog "contains 15 million catalog records for books, serials, manuscripts, maps, music, recordings, images, and electronic resources in the Library of Congress collections." In addition, the LC website is rich in other information sources including digital collections, links to current and traveling exhibitions, and thematic topics such as American History and World History and Cultures.
MARINet, our local Marin County consortium of public libraries and Dominican University, is now a member of Link+.
Link+ is a consortium of libraries in California and Nevada that share resources. If an item is not available in our MARINet catalog, it may be possible to borrow it from one of our Link+ partners. Look for the Link+ icon in the library catalog to start your search.
"WorldCat.org lets you search the collections of libraries in your community and thousands more around the world."
