Mavericks! It’s ON!
Big name surfers are flying from all over the world to participate in Mavericks to be held on this Sunday, July 20th in Pillar Point, Half Moon Bay. Beach, bluffs, and roads going to Pillar Point will be closed (enforced by a heavy police; local, state and CHP peresense). It has been three years since the last contest, and it could easily be three more before the waves are judged to be righteous enough to hold the event. You can catch the action from home on the Mavericks website or kick down $15 smackers to see the action on a jumbo tron at the Mavericks Festival. You might want to make a note of festival details because parking is going to be very restricted.
