As part of One Book, One Marin, the Marin County Free Library is pleased to welcome Jason Mark, co-founder of San Francisco’s Alemany Farm and editor of Earth Island Journal on Saturday, March 1 at 3:00 p.m. at the Marin City Library for a discussion about the promise and pitfalls of urban farming. In addition to co-managing San Francisco’s largest food production site, Mark writes frequently about agriculture and the environment. His writings have appeared in The Nation, The American Prospect, Gastronomica, and Salon, among other publications and websites.
