All branches of the Marin County Free Library will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2013, in observance of Memorial Day.

The first of the spring wildflowers are beginning to appear on Marin hillsides and trails. This California native perennial was seen on the Terra Linda-Sleepy Hollow trail. The flowers are pale white to pinkish. Officially known as a Cardamine californica it typically blooms from January until March and they are commonly known as milkmaids.
The Library has books to help you find interesting trails to hike and locate wildflowers.
