Why eBooks?

The library’s eBooks collections are available for viewing and downloading 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and provide access to a variety of popular titles for free.  eBooks never have late fees, can’t be torn, scratched or damaged, and multiple titles can be loaded onto your reading device of choice, making it easy to carry books with you anywhere you go.

How do I search for eBooks?

You can search for particular titles of eBooks directly in the library catalog. Titles from OverDrive, 3M Cloud, and enki are listed right along with physical books and audio CDs.  Axis360 titles also soon will be available in the library catalog.  Click on the catalog links to be taken to your selected ebook.

For general browsing, it is better to visit each eBook service separately.  Use the descriptions below to find the collection that is right for you.  For example, if you want to listen to an eAudiobook, you should use OverDrive or OneClick Digital. If you read on a Kindle paperwhite, you need the OverDrive service.  For ease of use on a tablet, the 3M service is great.  OverDrive and the 3M Cloud Library are the library’s main sources for downloadable eBooks.
