There’s still time to plant a summer vegetable garden. According to the Marin Master Gardeners, when you’re choosing what and when to plant, consider how long it will take each plant to reach maturity http://ht.ly/bQI8j. June is a good time to plant corn and tomatoes, for instance, for a back-to-school harvest. Other summer favorites are beans, cucumbers, squash and spinach. To find books in the library on growing vegetables type in the subject heading Vegetable Gardening. To find different but related books try Kitchen Gardens and Vegetables.
