Contractors will begin work on updating the Meeting Room on Monday, April 14. Work will take place before library operatng hours, to minimize disruption to the public. Expect the room to look a bit different while the first stages of the work are underway. Major components of the remodel include replacing the sliding doors with fixed walls, adding a counter and additional seating space along the windows, adding hardware to the walls to enable displays, upgrading electrical systems, including more power outlets and two new ceiling fans, and installing new doors on both the lobby side of the room as well as the library side. We hope these upgrades to the space will improve everyone's experience in the library.
These upgrades are courtesy of Measure A and a generous donation from the Friends of the Corte Madera Library.
While the work is progressing, the room should remain usable except for a period when the actual walls are being built. Please check back for more updates on when this will be happening. After the first few days, when the electrical work begins, there will no longer be electrical outlets available in the room.
