There's currently a display of photos by West Marin photographer Elaine Mossberger Straub at the Jack Mason Museum, adjacent to the Inverness Library. The display commemorates the Inverness Flood of 1982. This month marks the 30th anniversary of the flood which turned streets into rivers of mud in West Marin. Although the event itself was devastating to the community, the photos are quite beautiful. There will be an open house at the Museum on Sunday, January 22, from 2:00-5:00 pm where people can meet the photographer and share memories of this fateful event in West Marin history.
