How Dr. Seuss Got His Start 'On Mulberry Street'
Morning Edition outlines the history of one of America’s most cherished children’s book.
Seventy-five years ago, before Theodor Geisel rocked the culinary world with green eggs and ham or put a red-and-white striped top hat on a talking cat, Geisel (whom you probably know better as Dr. Seuss) wrote his first children's book: It was called And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street.
All of Dr. Seuss' books are available at your local library. These books are as fun to read today as they were when you were six. Check the online MARINet catalog.
