Renewing Online

The easiest way to keep your renewals up-to-date is to manage them through our online catalog. To do this, follow these instructions:

  • Login to your library account on the MARINet Catalog.
  • Type in your name, library barcode number and PIN as indicated on the screen and press "Submit".
  • Click the "Checked out items" button.
  • Click the "Renew All" option or click the "Renew" box next to a specific title(s), then click the "Renew Selected" button.
  • After attempting to renew, review your list of checked out items carefully to confirm that the items were actually renewed.
If you are having difficulties logging in to the catalog, please see our tutorial How Do I Login to the Catalog?

Other Ways to Renew

Patrons who do not wish to renew items online may do so by contacting the circulation staff at an open branch library. This may be done in one of two ways

  • On the phone. Patrons should be prepared to provide their library card number (located on the back of the card, below the barcode) in order to renew over the telephone.
  • In person. When renewing in person, patrons must come in to an open branch. To renew items, they must either present their library card, or a picture ID. Patrons do not need to have the materials with them in order to place a renewal.
